Homemade Electric Bike Show and Contest

This is the sign-up sheet for people wanting to enter in a first ever homemade electric bicycle show. The event will be taking place during the day on Sunday, June 27th at the Vancouver Art Gallery. We will be awarding 6 prizes from our shop each of ~$150-$200 value for winners in the following categories:

  1. Most Innovative:

Innovate_TN (3K) This prize will go to an ebike project that breaks new ground with original ideas and exhibits out of the box thinking in what an electric bike can be and look like.
  2. Most Discrete:

Discrete_TN (3K) The Most Discrete award will go to the electric bicycle does the best job of not looking like an electric bicycle! Wires through the tube, batteries concealed in panniers, the electric part of this bike is in total stealth mode.
  3. Most Resourceful:

Resourceful_TN (3K) This category will be won by the ebike which has made the most creative use of salvaged and scrap components. There are people who have been using junk parts from all kinds of unexpected places to make their creation come to life.
  4. Greatest Utility:

Utility_TN (4K) The Utility award will go out to the electric bike that embraces the many things you can do beyond single passenger commuting. Cargo holds, passenger seats, rain fairings, trailers, and many other amenities can add significant usefulness to the bike and its viability as a car replacement.
  5. Style:

Pi_Mobility_TN (4K) Ebikes aren't exactly known for style, but that doesn't have to be the case. We've seen some very sleek and attractive homemade electric bicycles, and want to spread the word that they don't have to look like a basement invention. Award here goes simply to the best looking, even if it's form over function.
  6. Creative Lighting:

Night_Lighting_TN (3K) The judging for this will be based on how good your bike looks, in the dark!
