Kits by Motor
A Grin conversion kit turns the bike you already own into an electric one, built around a Grin hub motor with a matching controller, display, wiring, and sensors. The kits on this page are grouped by motor, so if you already know which motor you want, you can jump straight to its packages below.
For most motors we offer the kit in a few configurations:
Barebones Kit: a simple throttle-controlled ebike with a basic display or none at all. It uses a thumb or twist throttle with a readout of battery voltage, has no pedal-assist or torque sensor, and offers fixed regenerative braking. A great way to keep things simple from the start.
CA3 Kit: our fully featured retrofit. It bundles an optional downtube battery, an internal Baserunner controller, the renowned Cycle Analyst display, and a range of torque and pedal-assist sensor options, all set up to work out of the box.
High Voltage / Power Kit: our more powerful motors paired with a Phaserunner controller, for running at 72V or with third-party battery packs. These include a Cycle Analyst display with motor temperature sensing and automatic thermal rollback.
